DokStation’s Music Documentary Film Festival 2nd edition will take place between the 14th and 17th of September 2017. The festival’s screenings, concerts, events and workshops will occur in many of the Capital’s districts.
DokStation is dedicated to both the film and music loving audience and the communities in Bucharest’s neighbourhoods. During its four days, DokStation’s programme will consist of recent documentaries premiering in Romania which uncover stories about music – stories from the studio, the stage or behind the scenes, stories about different kinds of music, words and visions, stories of musicians and their failures and triumphs.
The 2017’s edition is dedicated to the British musician David Bowie, who left us on the 10th of January 2016. The special program will include the following titles: the classical Ziggy Stardust And the Spiders from Mars (1973) by D.A. Pennebaker, David Bowie: Five Years (2013) from Francis Whately, David Bowie: The Man Who Stole The World (2016) by Elena Carmen and Billy Simpson and David Bowie: The Last Five Years (2017) by Francis Whately.
Over the next few weeks, the remaining titles in the programme will be announced, as well as information about the concerts, DJ sets and Q&A sessions with foreign guests which accompany the documentary film screenings.
